OFFICE OF THE DEVELOPMENT COMMISSIONER NOTIFICATION Gujarat State, Gandhinagar, 17th January, 2026 No. KPV-07-DC-ELC-L-4-TP-31-2026:- Vide Notification No. KPV-36-DC-ELC-L-4-TP-31-2025, dated 23rd July, 2025 the total number of members reservation for SC, ST, SEBC, number of unreserved seats, reservation for women belonging to each of the SCs, STs, SEBCs and number of women in unreserved categories (General) seats for Taluka Panchayats in respect of Tapi district have been notified. AS per Collector, Tapi letter no. ELC/Population details/wasi/4145/2026, dated: 8th January, 2026 Taluka wise the total rural population of Tapi district has been revised of Songadh, new constituted Ukai talukas and therefore, total number of seats and reserved seats has to be re-fixed and fixed as per provision of section 10 of the Gujarat Panchayat Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993). In exercise of the powers of the State Government under section 10 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993), conferred on me under Government Notification of Panchayats and Rural Housing Department No. KP/191 of 1994/DEL-1094-1246-J, dated 26/7/1994, I, Hitesh Koya, IAS, Development Commissioner, Gujarat State hereby in respect of Tapi District in Gujarat State, state that Taluka Panchayats shown in column 2 shall have total number of members, reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes and number of unreserved seats, reservation for women; for each of the SCs, STs, SEBCs and for women in unreserved categories (General) as shown in Schedule against the name of the panchayats in relevant column. The Notification of 23rd July, 2025 referred in para-1 stands and amended with Songadh and new constituted Ukai taluka panchayats being read as per this Notification.
