AND WHEREAS section 3 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act,1993 provides that there shall be a Taluka Panchayat for each taluka constituted from time to time under the Gujarat Land Revenue Code, 1879(Bom. V of 1879) and therefore, Taluka panchayats for New Talukas are required to be established;

AND WHEREAS, sub-section (1) of section 12 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993(Guj. 18 of 1993), provides that there shall be a headquarter for newly established Taluka Panchayat;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 and sub-section (1) of section 12 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993(Guj. 18 of 1993), the Government of Gujarat hereby

(i) establishes the Taluka Panchayats mentioned in column (3) of the SCHEDULE, and;

(ii) directs that the headquarters of the newly established Taluka Panchayats mentioned in column (3) shall be as mentioned in column (4) of the said SCHEDULE, as follows:- SCHEDULE Name of Newly established Sr. No. District Head quarter Taluka Panchayat
