NOTIFICATION Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, 11th September, 2026 GUJARAT PANCHAYATS ACT, 1993.

No. KP/30 OF 2026/PRHRDD/SOA/e-file/14/2025/1970/Section-Ch:- WHEREAS in pursuance of clause (a) of sub-

section (3) of section 191 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the District Panchayat, Gir Somnath has, by the resolution No.30, passed at its general meeting held on 27th November, 2024, applied to the State Government to increase the rate of cess to be levied on Non-Agricultural Lands under sub-section (1) of section 191 of the said Act to 300 paise with effect from 1st January, 2015 to 31st March, 2030;

AND WHEREAS the Government of Gujarat has considered the aforesaid application;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (3) of section 191 of the said Act, the Government of Gujarat hereby increases the rate of cess levied on Non- Agricultural Lands under sub-section (1) of section 191 of the said Act to 300 paise in relation to the area under the jurisdiction of the District Panchayat, Gir Somnath, with effect from 1st August, 2026 to 31st July, 2029.
