The appointed Chairman and Members shall not have any personal, financial or other interest that could conflict with the office of the Permanent Lok Adalat. The Chairman and Members shall furnish an undertaking that he/she has no personal, financial or other interest that may prejudice his/her discharge of functions as Chairman or Members 2. The initial appointment for the Chairman & Members will be for a term of one year which may be extended for a term of Five years or till the age of sixty - five years, whichever is earlier. 3. Any decision of the Hon’ble Executive Chairman, Gujarat State Legal Services Authority, regarding the post, tenure or the functioning of the Permanent Lok Adalat shall be final and binding. 4. After ceasing to hold office of Permanent Lok Adalat, the former Chairman shall not be associated with the management or administration of any organisation that was a party to proceedings before the Permanent Lok Adalat during his/her tenure. 5. All the terms and services conditions shall be governed by the Permanent Lok Adalat (Other Terms and Conditions of Appointment of Chairman and Other Persons) Rules, 2003 (in short “the Rules”), as amended from time to time, instructions issued from time to time by Gujarat State Legal Services Authority and Standard Operating Procedure of Permanent Lok Adalat for State of Gujarat as amended from time to time. 6. The Chairman & Members shall also discharge such other functions as may be assigned by the Hon’ble Executive Chairman, GSLSA, IN ADDITION TO HIS/HER REGULAR duties.
