No. 3231/C-1,— In exercise of the powers coferred by clause (3) of Article 187 of the Constitution
of India, the Governor of Maharashtra, after consulatation with the Speaker of the Maharashtra
Legislative Assembly and the Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council is hereby pleased
to amend the Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules,
1973 namely :—
1. These rules may be called as Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat (Recruitment and
Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Rules, 2026.
2. In Rule 6 of the Principal Rules Clause (b-1) of Sub-rule (2),- the words “Deputy
Secretary or Under Secretary” shall be deleted.
