No.G/PT/2025/27/PTD/MRT/e-file/22/2025/0939/KH:- The following draft of rules amending the Gujarat Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, which is proposed to be issued under clause (k) of sub-section (2) of section 28 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988) is hereby published as required by sub- section (1) of section 212 of the said Act, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules will be taken into consideration by the Government of Gujarat on or after the expiry of thirty days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Any objection or suggestions which may be received by the Principal Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, Ports and Transport Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, from any person with respect to the said draft on or before the expiry of the aforesaid period, will be considered by the Government. IV-A Ex.-157 157-1157-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 12-11-2025 [ PART IV-A DRAFT NOTIFICATION MOTOR VEHICLES ACT, 1988. No.G/PT/2025/27/PTD/MRT/e-file/22/2025/0939/KH:- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (k) of sub-section (2) of section 28 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Gujarat Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, namely:- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Gujarat Motor Vehicles (4th Amendment) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Gujarat Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 (herein after referred to as “the said rules”), in rule 6, after clause (viii), the following clauses shall be added namely: “(ix) In respect of change of address, change of name, change of photograph or signature in a learner’s licence, or for issue of a duplicate learner’s licence, a fee of rupees two hundred; (x) In respect of furnishing particulars of learner’s license, twenty-five rupees.” By order and in the name of the Governor of Gujarat, HARENDRASINH PARMAR, Deputy Secretary to Government. ---------- Government Central Press, Gandhinagar.
