No: G/PT/2026/20/PTD/MRT/e-file/22/2025/0066/KH: The following draft of rules which is proposed to be issued under sub-section (2) of section 38 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (LIX of 1988) is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of section 212 of the said Act for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules will be taken into consideration by the Government of Gujarat on or after the expiry of thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette. 2. Any objection or suggestions which may be received by the Principal Secretary, Ports and Transport Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar from any person with respect to the said draft rules on or before the expiry of the aforesaid period, will be considered by the Government. IV-A Ex.-110 110-1110-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 18-07-2026 [ PART IV-A DRAFT NOTIFICATION MOTOR VEHICLES ACT, 1988. No: G/PT/2026/20/PTD/MRT/e-file/22/2025/0066/KH: In exercise of powers conferred by Sub-Section (2) of Section- 38 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Gujarat Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989, namely: 1. (1) These Rules may be called the Gujarat Motor Vehicles (4th Amendment) Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Gujarat Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, (hereafter referred to as “the said Rules”,) in rule 26, after clause (v), the following clause shall be added namely:- "(vi) In respect of every copy of particular of Conductor License under rule 35A, Twenty Five Rupees." 3. In the said Rules, after rule 35, the following rule shall be inserted namely: "35A. Particular of Conductor License:- A licensing authority may in its discretion supply copies of particular of conductor license issued by it to the holder of that license who may apply for the same along with a fee prescribed under Rule 26."
