HOME DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, 3rd November, 2025 GUJARAT POLICE ACT, 1951. No. GHG/141/2025/MHK/1010/1163/C:- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of section 5 of the Gujarat Police Act, 1951 (Bom.XXII of 1951), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Assistant Intelligence Officer, Class III, in the Police Department Recruitment Rules, 2024, namely:- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Assistant Intelligence Officer, Class III, in the Police Department Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Assistant Intelligence Officer, Class III, in the Police Department Recruitment Rules, 2024 (hereinafter referred to as "the said rules"), in rule 2, for clause (a), the following clause shall be substituted namely: - “(a) on the basis of the result of combined competitive examination held for the purpose; or” 247248 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 20-11-2025 [ PART IV-B 3. In the said rules, in rule 3, - (i) in clause (a), for the words and figures "not be less than 21 years of age and not be more than 35 years of age", the words and figures "not be more than 35 years of age" shall be substituted: - (ii) in clause (a), the second proviso shall be deleted. (iii) clause (f) shall be deleted. 4. In the said rules, after rule 4 the following new rule 4-A shall be inserted, namely: - "4A The candidate appointed on the basis of the result of combined competitive examination held for the purpose shall possess a valid heavy/light motor vehicle driving licence within the stipulated period of service on contractual basis." 5. In the said rules, in rules 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, for the words "by direct selection", wherever they occur, the words "on the basis of the result of combined competitive examination held for the purpose" shall be substituted.
