THE GUJARAT PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES ACT, 2023
No: GH/SH/28/ED/GUU/e-file/3/2026/2013/KH-2:- In exercise of the powers conferred by the Sub Section (8) of
section 10 of the Gujarat Public Universities Act, 2023, the Government of Gujarat hereby, appoints Dr. Jagdishkumar
Joshi, Professor, H.R.D.C., Gujarat University, Ahmedabad to be the In-charge Vice Chancellor of the Gujarat University,
Ahmedabad for a term not exceeding twelve months or until further order.

NOTIFICATION UNDER SUB-SECTION (I) OF SECTION 37-A OF THE BOMBAY LAND REVENUE CODE,
1879
No. GHM/2026/M/108/RD/JMN/e-file/15/2026/4469/A1 (Land): Whereas it appears to the Government of Gujarat that
the parts of the public Road/ lanes/paths specified in the schedule hereto annexed, which are the properties of the State of
Gujarat are not required for the use of the Public.
2. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (i) of Section 37-A of the Bombay Land Revenue
Code, 1879 (Bom. V of 1879) the Government of Gujarat is pleased to declare accordingly and to state that it is
proposed that the rights of the public as well as of all individuals in or over the said parts of the public
Road/lanes/paths shall be extinguished.
3. Any member of the public or any person having any interest or right, in addition to the right of the public having in
or over the said parts of the said Road/paths or having any other interest or rights which is likely to be adversely
affected by the said proposal may, within ninety days from the date of this notification. State in writing to the
collector of Surat district his objection, if any, to the said proposal, the nature of his interest or rights and the manner
in which it is likely to be adversely affected, and the amount and particular, of his claim for compensation for interest
or rights.
4. If the Government of Gujarat is satisfied that the said parts of the said Road/lanes/paths are not required for the use
of public, a final declaration under Sub-section (5) of Section 37-A of the said Act, to the effect that all rights of the
public as well as all individuals in or over the said parts of the said Roads/lanes/paths are extinguished, will be
published in the Gujarat Government Gazette, in due course.

૨. હવે, સને ૧૮૭૯ની મુાંબઈ જમીન મહેસૂલ સાંચહતાની કલમ ૩૭-એ ની પેટા કલમ (૧) થી આપવામાાં આવેલી સતાની રૂએ ગુજરાત સરકાર,
તદ્દનુસાર જાહેર કરે છે ક,ે અને જર્ાવે છે કે, ઉક્ત જાહેર રસ્ત્તા પૈકીની જમીનના ભાગમાાંના કે તે પરના જાહેર મુખ્ય માગણના તેમજ જાહેર
જનતાના તેમજ તમામ વ્યચક્તના હક્ક નાબુદ કરવા ચવિારાયુાં છે.
૩. ઉક્ત માગનણ ો ઉક્ત ભાગમાાંના કે તે પરના જાહેર મુખ્ય માગણના હક્ક ઉપરાાંતના કોઇ હક્ક કે ચહસ્ત્સા ધરાવતા અથવા ઉક્ત દરખાસ્ત્તથી જેમન ે
પ્રચતકુળ અસર પહોંિવા સાંભવ હોય તેવા બીજા કોઇ હક્ક કે ચહસ્ત્સા ધરાવતા જાહેર જનતાના કોઇ સભ્ય ક ે કોઇ વ્યચક્તએ ઉક્ત દરખાસ્ત્ત
અાંગે પોતાનો કોઇ વાાંધો હોય કે તેના હક્ક કે ચહસ્ત્સાનો પડકાર અને તે પર પ્રચતકુળ અસર પહોંિવા સાંભવ હોય તો તે કઇ રીત ે આવા ચહત
કે હક્કને માટે વળતરના તેના દાવાની રકમ અાંગેની ચવગતો આ જાહેરનામાની તારીખથી ૯૦ દદવસની અાંદર સુરત ચજલ્લા કલેક્ટરને લેખીત
રજ ૂ કરવી.
૪. ગુજરાત સરકારને ખાતરી થશે કે, ઉક્ત રસ્ત્તાનો ઉક્ત ભાગ જાહેર જનતાના ઉપયોગ માટે જરૂરી નથી તો ઉક્ત રસ્ત્તાના ઉક્ત ભાગમાાંના કે
તે પરના જાહેર જનતાના તેમજ તમામ વ્યચક્તના હક્ક નાબુદ કરવામાાં આવે છે એ મતલબની ઉક્ત અચધચનયમની કલમ ૩૭-એ ની પેટા
કલમ (૫) અન્વયેની આખરી જાહેરાત યોગ્ય સમયે ગુજરાત સરકારના રાજ્યપત્રમાાં પ્રચસદ્ધ કરવામાાં આવશે.
