GUJARAT ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION GANDHINAGAR Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (Net Metering Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive Systems) (Fifth Amendment) Regulations, 2025 Notification No. 10 of 2025 GERC/2025/10/Tech/2201:- In exercise of Powers conferred under Sections 61, 66, 86 (1) (e) read with 181 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (Act 36 of 2003) and all other powers enabling it in this behalf and after previous publication, the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission hereby makes the following Regulations, to amend the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (Net Metering Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive Systems) Regulations, 2016, (hereinafter referred as ‘The Principal Regulations’ and its subsequent amendments thereof, namely: 1. Short Title, Scope Extent and Commencement (i) These Regulations shall be called Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (Net Metering Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive Systems) (Fifth Amendment) Regulations, 2025. (ii) These Regulations extend to the whole of the State of Gujarat. 2. These Regulations shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. Amendment in Clause 7 of the Principal Regulations: Following proviso shall be incorporated after second proviso below the Activity Chart provided under Regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations read with GERC (Net Metering Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive Systems) (Fourth Amendment) Regulations, 2024: “7. …………... …………….. Provided that there shall not be requirement for execution of separate written connectivity agreement between the Distribution Licensee and the Consumer in case of Solar Rooftop PV Systems installed under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and the Consumer shall be deemed to be bound by terms and conditions of these Regulations in respect of Solar Rooftop PV Systems. In such case, the date of commencement of Agreement shall be the date of commissioning of Solar Rooftop PV Systems and in lieu of execution of formal connectivity agreement, the concerned Discom shall communicate to the Applicant, under proper receipt, mentioning the date of commencement of agreement along with the applicable rate of purchase of surplus energy.” 4. Amendment in Clause 8 (2) of the Principal Regulations: The Regulation 8 (2) shall be substituted as under: “(2) The connectivity levels at which the Rooftop PV Solar System shall be connected with the grid shall be as per the supply voltage level provided under GERC (Electricity Supply Code and Related Matters) Regulations, 2015 as amended from time to time.” Place: Gandhinagar RANJEETH KUMAR J., IAS, Date: 03/11/2025 Secretary. ----------- Government Central Press, Gandhinagar.
