SPORTS AUTHORITY OF GUJARAT NOTIFICATION Sector 13-B, Gandhinagar, 13th November, 2025 No: SAG/2025/09:- In exercise of the powers conferred by the sub clause (vii) of clause (b) of rule 34 of the Rules and Regulations in Memorandum of Sports Authority of Gujarat, the Governing Body of Sports Authority of Gujarat hereby makes the following Regulations to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Administrative Officer, under the Sports Authority of Gujarat, namely:- 1. (1) These Regulations may be called the Administrative Officer, under the Sports Authority of Gujarat, Recruitment Regulations, 2025. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Appointment to the post of Administrative Officer, under the Sports Authority of Gujarat shall be made by direct selection. 3. To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Regulation-2, a candidate shall,- IV-C Ex.-346 346-1346-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE EX., 13-11-2025 [ PART IV-C (a) not be more than 35 years of age: Provided that the upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate who is already in the service of the Government of Gujarat in accordance with the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; Provided further that upper age limit may also be relaxed in favour of a candidate who is belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Section and Women in accordance with the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. Provided further that nothing contained in clause (b) of sub-rule (9) of rule 8 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 shall be applicable in so far as relaxation of upper age limit as prescribed above is concerned; (b) possess bachelor’s degree obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be a deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government; (c) possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; and (d) possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. 4. The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be on probation for a period of two years. 5. The candidate appointed by direct selection, during his probation period, shall be required to pass the qualifying examination for computer knowledge in accordance with the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Computer Competency Training and Examination Rules, 2006. 6. The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to pass an examination in Hindi or Gujarati or both in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government. 7. The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to undergo such training and pass such examination as may be prescribed by the Government. 8. The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to furnish a security and surety bond in such form, for such amount and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government. 9. The Candidate recommended for appointment will not be considered as state government employee but will be considered as the employee of the Sports Authority of Gujarat. 10. Interpretation in case of doubt: If any question arises as to the interpretation of any of these regulations, the question shall be referred to the Secretary to the Government, Finance Department for the decision and his decision in the matter shall be final.
