PM E-DRIVE SCHEME
3912. SHRI PRAKASH CHIK BARAIK:
Will the Minister of Heavy Industries be pleased to state:
(a) the reasons for the approximately 68 per cent underutilisation of funds under the PM
Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) Scheme, the
details thereof;
(b) the funds allocated and utilised under PM E-DRIVE since inception of the scheme,
year- wise details; and
(c) the target and the actual number of charging stations set up under the scheme since its
inception, year-wise details?
ANSWER

(a): The PM E-DRIVE scheme has been extended up to 31.03.2028. The underutilisation
of funds is primarily due to the phased implementation strategy, milestone-based
disbursement mechanisms, evolving readiness of certain EV segments.
(b): The year-wise details of funds utilised against the allocated outlay under the PM
Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) scheme since
its inception on 01.04.2024 is as under:-
