Ministry of Power Power Minister Concludes Two-Visit to Review Power Projects in J&K प्रव तथ: 05 JAN 2026 7:00PM by PIB Delhi The Power Minister Shri Manohar Lal concluded his two-day visit to J&K today. On day 1 (4.1.2026) Shri Lal had reviewed the Salal, Sawalkot, and Ratle Projects. Late yesterday, the Minster arrived at NHPC’s Dulhasti Power Station, Kishtwar, and was received by Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), and Shri Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director, Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPP), and other officials of NHPC and CVPP. Today, Shri Lal inspected all three projects of CVPP, namely Pakal Dul (1000 MW), Kiru (624 MW), and Kwar (540 MW), and held a review meeting with the project heads and contractors. The CMD, NHPC, briefed the Minister in detail on various aspects of the three under-construction projects, following which the Shri Manohar Lal issued directions to commission the Pakal Dul and Kiru projects by December 2026 and the Kwar project by March 2028. The Minister also interacted with local residents and workers at various work sites and patiently listened to their issues.
