The Union Ministry of Power, in alignment with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra
Modi’s call for “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath”, organised a Shramdaan drive today as part of the
#Swachhotsav – Swachhta Hi Seva 2025 campaign.
The event was hosted at the corporate office of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), New Delhi, and was
led by Shri Shripad Naik, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy,
Government of India. The Minister administered the Swachhata Hi Seva Pledge to officers and staff, calling
upon them to reinforce their commitment to a cleaner and healthier environment.
In his address, Shri Shripad Naik underscored the importance of citizen participation in maintaining
cleanliness. “Cleanliness is our collective moral responsibility. Every citizen should dedicate at least 100
hours annually to cleanliness activities. A clean environment not only ensures healthier lives but also reflects
our duty towards building a Swachh Bharat,” he remarked.
The Hon’ble Minister, along with senior officials and staff members, actively participated in the Shramdaan
activities, which included cleaning, waste collection, and awareness-building on waste segregation and
disposal. The initiative highlighted the Ministry’s strong commitment to the nationwide mega cleanliness
drive being observed simultaneously across cities, towns, and villages on September 25, 2025.
The event saw the participation of senior dignitaries including Shri Srikant Nagulapalli & Shri Piyush
Singh, Additional Secretaries, Ministry of Power; Smt. Parminder Chopra, CMD, Power Finance
