H.E. Mr Alar Karis, President of the Republic of Estonia met President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu at
Rashtrapati Bhavan today (February 19, 2026).
Welcoming President Karis on his first visit to India as President of the Republic of Estonia, the President
said that warm and friendly relations between India and Estonia are anchored in shared democratic values,
respect for international law, and a common commitment to a rules-based global order.
The President noted that Estonia has made immense contributions to the digital and AI world. She said
that the participation of Estonia in the AI Impact Summit adds great value to the Summit, particularly
given its leadership role in AI and education.
The President said that India and Estonia have a shared conviction that Artificial Intelligence must be a
force for global good. In a world of increasing uncertainties, our cooperation in cybersecurity and the safe
