The Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, conferred the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar
– Vigyan Shri for the year 2025 on Dr. S. Venkata Mohan, Director, CSIR–National
Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), Nagpur, at a ceremony held at
Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Dr. S. Venkata Mohan was honoured in the field of Environmental Science. This eminent national
recognition is a richly deserved tribute to his outstanding contributions to science and
technology, particularly in environmental science and engineering.
The prestigious award, comprising a medal and a citation, stands as a testament to Dr. Mohan’s
exceptional research, unwavering commitment, and passion for advancing sustainable
environmental technologies that continue to inspire the scientific community.
Dr. Mohan’s research addresses critical environmental challenges through sustainability-driven
