Posted On: 10 SEP 2026 8:50PM by PIB Delhi His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan V called on the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (September 10, 2026).
Welcoming him on his first official visit to India since assuming the role of the Aga Khan, the President offered her condolences on the passing of his father, the late Aga Khan IV. She said that in India, we regard the Aga Khan IV and the work undertaken by the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) with great respect and affection.
The President appreciated the projects implemented in India by Aga Khan Development Network in areas such as water and sanitation, education, maternal health, urban redevelopment, women's empowerment, and employment generation.
