The Government has approved the establishment of 7 PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks in Greenfield/Brownfield sites with world-class infrastructure. The initiative, with an outlay of Rs. 4,445 Cr for 2021-22 to 2027-28, aims to attract investment and boost employment in the global market. The Ministry of Textiles received 18 proposals from 13 states and finalized 7 sites: Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow), Tamil Nadu (Virudhnagar), Gujarat (Navsari), Karnataka (Kalaburagi), Madhya Pradesh (Dhar), Telangana (Warangal), and Maharashtra (Amravati). Each park is expected to generate Rs. 10,000 Cr in investment and 1 lakh direct/2 lakh indirect jobs. Skilling infrastructure will be created. Development Capital Support (DCS) will be provided at 30% of the project cost, with a maximum support of ₹500 Cr for Greenfield projects and ₹200 Crore for Brownfield PM MITRA Parks. As of December 2, 2025, investment received/grounded/MoUs signed under the scheme include: Madhya Pradesh (₹14,099 Crores), Gujarat (₹13,084 Crores), Uttar Pradesh (₹5,270 Crores), Telangana (₹3,862 Crores), Maharashtra (₹3,245 Crores), Karnataka (₹1,700 Crores), and Tamil Nadu (₹1,231 Crores) with a total of ₹42,491 Crores. PROGRESS OF PM MITRA PARKS

With a view to attract investment, boost employment generation and position itself strongly in the global
market, the Government has approved setting up of 7 (Seven) PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and
Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks in Greenfield/Brownfield sites with world class infrastructure including plug
and play facility with an outlay of Rs. 4,445 Cr for a period of 2021-22 to 2027-28.
Ministry received 18 proposals from 13 states for setting up Mega Textile Parks and has finalised 7 sites
including one in Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow) for setting up of PM MITRA Park. Other selected sites are
Tamil Nadu (Virudhnagar), Gujarat (Navsari), Karnataka (Kalaburagi), Madhya Pradesh (Dhar),
Telangana (Warangal) and Maharashtra (Amravati).
It is envisaged that each park when completed will lead to an investment of Rs. 10,000 Cr. and generate
about 1 lakh direct and 2 lakh indirect jobs. In addition, provision for skilling through creation of
infrastructure and through convergence with ongoing schemes has been made for PM MITRA Parks.
