सा.का.धन. 758(अ).— केंद्रीय सरकार, रेल अधिधनयम, 1989 (1989 का 24) की िारा 60 की उपिारा (2) के
खंर् (छ) और उपिारा (3) द्वारा प्रित्त शधियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, भारतीय रेल (रेल पररसर म ें स्वच्छता को प्रभाधवत
करने वाल े दियाकलाप हते ु शाधस्तयां) धनयम, 2012 म ेंसंशोिन करने के धलए धनम्नधलधखत धनयम बनाती ह,ै अर्ाडत:् -
1. सधं िप्त नाम और प्रारंभ :- (1) इन धनयमों का संधिप्त नाम भारतीय रेल (रेल पररसर म ेंस्वच्छता को प्रभाधवत करन े
वाले दियाकलाप हते ु शाधस्तया)ं संशोिन धनयम, 2026 ह।ै
(2) ये राजपत्र म ेंउनके प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे।
2. भारतीय रेल (रेल पररसर म ेंस्वच्छता को प्रभाधवत करन ेवाल ेदियाकलाप हते ुशाधस्तयां) धनयम, 2012 के, धनयम
4 म ें “उसे जुमाडन े स े िंधर्त दकया जाएगा जो पांच सौ रुपए स ेअनधिक नहीं होगा” शब्िों के स्र्ान पर “वह एक हजार रुपए
की शाधस्त का िायी होगा, और शाधस्त का संिाय न दकए जान े की धस्र्धत म,ें ऐसा न करन े म ें असफल रहने वाल े व्यधि को

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th August, 2026
G. S. R. 758(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (g) of sub-section (2) and sub-
section (3) of section 60 of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), the Central Government hereby makes the
following rules, to amend the Indian Railways (Penalties for activities affecting cleanliness at railway
premises) Rules, 2012, namely:-
1. Short title and Commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Indian Railways (Penalties
for activities affecting cleanliness at railway premises) Amendment Rules, 2026.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Indian Railways (Penalties for activities affecting cleanliness at railway premises) Rules,
2012, in rule 4, for the words “punished with a fine which shall not exceed five hundred rupees”, the words
“liable to penalty of one thousand rupees, and in the event of non-payment of the penalty, the person so
failing shall be produced before a competent court having jurisdiction which may impose a fine which may
extend to two thousand rupees” shall be substituted.
