Under clause 7A of the Railway (Amendment) Act 2008
S.O. 3269(E).— In exercise of the powers conferre d by clause (7A) of Section 2 of the Railways Act, 1989
(24 of 1989), the Central Government hereby authorize the officer mentioned in column (2) of the table below as
“Competent Authority” to perform the functions as such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of
publication of this notification in the Official Gazette in respect of the special railway project of “Multitracking of
Panvel-Chouk section (17.28 Km)” in the State of Maharashtra relating to Taluka Mentioned in Column (3) of the
said table for the public purpose of execution maintenance, Management and operation of such special Railway
Project.
