NOTIFICATION
Bengaluru, the 1st July, 2026
S.O. 3526(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Central Government (Ministry of Railway, South
Western Railway, Construction Organization, Bengaluru Cantonment) S.O. 961(E) dated 24 Feb 2026 published in
the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section – 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under Section 2, Clause 20A of
Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (herein referred to as the said act) the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway,
Construction Organization, Bengaluru Cantonment declare its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule
annexed to the said notification for “Construction of ROB in lieu of LC No. 72 at Km: 164/200-300 Mulavad village,
Kolhar taluk, Vijayapura district” in the district of Vijayapura in the state of Karnataka.
And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “THE HINDU” dated 10.03.2026,
and in “PRAJAVANI” dated 10.03.2026; under Section 2, Clause 20A of Railway Act, 1989. And whereas the
Competent Authority has received objections filed under section 2, clause 20D, considered and settled the same
appropriately.
And whereas, in pursuance of Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act, 1989, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru
Cantonment.
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act, 1989, the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway,
Construction Organization, Bengaluru Cantonment hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should
be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act, 1989, the Ministry of Railway, South
Western Railway, Construction Organization, Bengaluru Cantonment hereby declares that on publication of this
notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central
