Publication of Notification in the Extra Ordinary Gazette of India under the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (ARUL) Act, 1962 for Cauvery Basin Natural Gas Pipeline Network GAIL (India) Limited.

The notification, made in exercise of the powers conferred by Subsection (i) of section 3 of the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962, specifies the following survey numbers and areas: Survey No. 751 (0 Hect. 1 Are 00 Sq.Mt), Survey No. 754 (0 Hect. 2 Are 00 Sq.Mt), Survey No. 813 (0 Hect. 13 Are 00 Sq.Mt), totaling an area of 16 Are 00 Sq.Mt.
Any person with an interest in the land described in the schedule may object in writing to the acquisition or the laying of pipelines. Objections must be submitted within 21 days from the date the notification is made available to the public, to the Competent Authority, GAIL India Limited, Cauvery Basin, 1st & 2nd Floor, AHM Complex, No.164, Kamarajar Salai, Karaikal District, Pondicherry U.T. NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 20th September, 2021
S.O. 4385(E).—Whereas it appears to the Central Government that it is necessary in the public interest that
for the transport of Petroleum Gas from PPCL-VANJORE SILICATE P/L - REROUTE – 36, Keezhaiyur South
Village, Karaikal Taluk& District in the Union Territory of Pondicherry , Pipeline should be laid by the GAIL (India)
Limited.
AND WHEREAS it appears to the Central Government that for the purpose of laying such pipeline, it is
necessary to acquire the right of user in the land under which the said pipeline is proposed to be laid, and which is
described in the schedule annexed to this notification.
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (i) of section 3 of the Petroleum
and Minerals pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in the land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962) the Central Government
hereby declares its intention to acquire the right of user therein.
Any person interested in the land described in the said schedule may within 21 days from the date on which
the copies of this notification, as published in the Gazette of India, are made available to the general public, object in
writing to the acquisition of the right of user therein or laying of the pipelines under the land to the Competent
Authority, GAIL (India) Limited, Cauvery Basin, 1st& 2nd Floor, AHM Complex, No.164, Kamarajar Salai, Karaikal
District, Pondicherry U.T.
