MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 18th May, 2022
S.O. 2318(E).—Whereas by Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Petroleum
and Natural Gas S.O.No. 352 (E), dated.17.01.2022 issued under sub-Section (1) of Section 3 of the
Petroleum and Minerals Pipe Lines (Acquisition of Right Of User in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962) in the
Extra Ordinary Gazette of India No. 344, dated 27.01.2022 and respectively in the Central Government
declared its intention to acquire the Right of User in the Lands specified in the Schedule appended to that
Notification for the purpose of laying pipe line from SAPL Srikakulam to Angul in SRIKAKULAM
District in the State of Andhra Pradesh by the GAIL (India) Ltd., Srikakulam;
AND WHEREAS copies of the said Gazette Notification were made available to the public on
27. 01. 2022.
AND WHEREAS objections have been received from the land owners for laying of gas pipeline
and disposed off as per Appendix-C.
AND WHEREAS the Competent Authority has under Sub-Section (i) of Section 6 of the said Act,
submitted report to the Central Government.
AND FURTHER WHEREAS the Central Government has, after considering the said report and on
being satisfied that the said land is required for laying the pipe line, has decided to acquire the Right of
User their in.
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the power conferred by Sub-Section (i) of Section 6 of the said
Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the Right of User in the said lands specified in the
Schedules appended to this Notification hereby acquired for laying the pipe line.
AND FURTHER in exercise of power conferred by Sub-Section (4) of the Section 6 of the said act,
the Central Government here by directs that the Right of User in the said lands for laying the pipe line shall
instead of vesting in the Central Government vest, on the date of the publication of this declaration, in the
GAIL (India) Limited proposing to lay the pipe line and there up the Right of such User in the land shall
subject to the terms and conditions so imposed, vest in the GAIL (India) Ltd., free from encumbrances.
