2. उक्त अजधसूचना में जनम्नजलजखत के स्ट्थान पर यह प्रजतस्ट्थाजपत दकया िाता ह:ै —
(i) जनयम 93 म,ें उप-जनयम (1)(B) म,ें खडं (i) के स्ट्थान पर जनम्नजलजखत खंड प्रजतस्ट्थाजपत दकया िाएगा,
अथागत:् —
“(i) एक ररयर-व्य ूजमरर, या इनडायरेक्ट जवज़न के जलए युजक्त, या गाड गरेल या डायरेक्िन इंजडकेटर या रब-
रेल (रबर बीडडंग) जिसकी बॉडी के हर तरफ या साइड फुट स्ट्टेप पर अजधकतम मोटाई 20 जमलीमीटर हो, या ब्लाइंड
स्ट्पॉट इंफॉमेिन प्रणाली, मूडवंग ऑफ इंफॉमेिन प्रणाली, आदि िैसी उन्नत चालक सहायता प्रणाली के जलए प्रयक्तु ् होने
वाले सेंसर और उनके केडसंग को मोटर यान की कुल चौड़ाई को मापने म ेंध्यान में नहीं रखा िाएगा और यदि संबंजधत
मानकों में जनर्िगष्ट दकया गया ह ैतो उपरोक्त युजक्त जवजहत आयाम के भीतर होंगी।”
(ii) उक्त जनयमों म,ें जनयम 96 म,ें उप-जनयम (11) के बाि जनम्नजलजखत उप-जनयम िोड़ा िाएगा, अथागत:् —

“(12) नए मॉडलों की ििा म,ें 1 िनवरी, 2027 को या उसके पश्चात् और सभी मॉडलों की ििा में 1
अक्टूबर, 2027 को जवजनर्मगत एम2, एम3, एन2 और एन3 प्रवग ग के यान, िब तक दक भारतीय मानक ब्यूरों
अजधजनयम, 1986 (1986 का 63) के अधीन तत्सथानी बीआईएस जवजनिेि अजधसूजचत नहीं हो िाते, आईएस:
11852:2019 के अनुसार वाहन जस्ट्थरता फंक्िन और समय-समय पर यथा संिोजधत एआईएस-162 के अनुरूप
उन्नत इमरिेंसी ब्रेककंग प्रणाली से युक्त होंगे।”।

CORRIGENDUM
New Delhi, the 21st November, 2025
G.S.R. 862(E).—In the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport
& Highways number G.S.R 834 (E), dated the 11th November, 2025, published in the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, sub- section (i), shall be read with following amendments, namely:-
2. In the said notification, following shall be substituted:-
(i) in rule 93, in sub-rule (1)(B), for item (i), following item (i) shall be substituted, namely: -
“A rear-view mirror, or devices for indirect vision, or guard rail or a direction indicator or rub-rail (rubber
beading) having maximum thickness of 20 millimeter on each side of the body or side foot step, or sensors along
with their casing used for advanced driver assistance systems such as Blind Spot Information System, moving Off
Information system, etc., shall not be taken into consideration in measuring the overall width of a motor vehicle
and the above devices shall be within the prescribed dimension if so specified in the respective standards”.
(ii) In the said rules, in rule 96, after sub-rule 11, following shall be inserted, namely:-
“(12) All M2, M3, N2 and N3 category of vehicles, manufactured on and after 1st January 2027, in case
of new models, and 1st October 2027, in case of all models, shall be fitted with Vehicle Stability Function as per
IS 11852:2019 and Advanced Emergency Braking Systems, as per AIS-162, as amended from time to time, till
the corresponding BIS specifications are notified under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 (63 of 1986).”
