The Ministry of Railways (Northern Railway, Gati Shakti Unit) issued a notification on October 27, 2025, regarding land acquisition for a special railway project. S.O. 4900(E). In exercise of the power conferred by clause (37A) of section 2 of the Railway's Act 1989 (24 of 1989), the Central Government hereby notifies Provision of Shed Bypass line to facilitate shunting of locos from one end to another under umbrella work 2019-20 at ELS/SRE as a Special Railway Project for acquisition of 0.2086 Hectare land in Saharanpur District in the state of Uttar Pradesh for providing National infrastructure for a public purpose with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette. The acquisition of 0.2086 hectares of land in the Saharanpur District of Uttar Pradesh is for providing national infrastructure for a public purpose as part of the ELS/SRE umbrella work 2019-20.
