AIGP Developers (Pune) Private Limited had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Wagholi and Kharadi Villages, Pune District, in the State of Maharashtra; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in the exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, notified an area of 6.69 hectares and de-notified a partial area of 4.97 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Numbers S.O. 1401 (E) dated 18.03.2019 and S.O. 4068 (E) dated 24th September, 2021, respectively; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. AIGP Developers (Pune) Private Limited has now proposed to de-notify the entire area of 1.72 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Maharashtra has given No Objection Certificate to the proposal vide letter No. SEZ-2017/CR-184/Ind-2 dated 26th June, 2024. After de-notification, the land parcel will conform to Land Use Guidelines/master plans of the State Government; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, SEEPZ Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of entire area of 1.72 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, THEREFORE, in the exercise of the powers conferred by the first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except for things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
