अपेक्षाओं तिा अन्द्य सबंजधत अपेक्षाओं को पूरा कर जलया गया ह ै और उनको उपयगक्तु जविेष आर्थिक िोन के जवकास,
प्रचालन एवं रखरखाव हेतू उक्त अजधजनयम की धारा 3 की उपधारा (10) के अतंगगत दिनांक 11 िून, 2026 को
अनुमोिन पत्र प्रिान कर दिया है;

अतः अब, जविेष आर्थिक िोन अजधजनयम, 2005 की धारा 4 की उप-धारा (1) द्वारा प्रित्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग
करते हुए और जविेष आर्थिक िोन अजधजनयम, 2006 के जनयम 8 अनुसरण में केन्द्र सरकार, एतद्द्वारा उक्त स्ट्िान के
8.9799 हेक्टेयर के नीचे िी गई ताजलका में दिए गए सवेक्षण संख्याओं के क्षेत्रों को अजधसूजचत करती है, अिागत्ः-

िोन के जलए एक सजमजत, जिसे अनुमोिन सजमजत कहा िाएगा, गठित करती ह,ै जिसके अध्यक्ष और सिस्ट्य जनम्नानुसार

1. जविेष आर्थिक िोन का जवकास आयक्तु अध्यक्ष,पिेन
2. जनिेिक अिवा उप-सजचव,भारत सरकार,वाजणज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्रालय, वाजणज्य जवभाग सिस्ट्य,पिेन
या उसका नाजमती जिसका स्ट्तर अवर सजचव,भारत सरकार से कम नहीं होगा
3. जविेष आर्थिक िोन पर भ-ू भागीय क्षेत्राजधकार रखन े वाल े क्षेत्रीय संयुक्त जविेि व्यापार सिस्ट्य,पिेन

और यतः, जविेष आर्थिक िोन अजधजनयम 2005 (2005 का 28) की धारा 53 की उप-धारा (2) द्वारा प्रित्त
िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्र सरकार एतद्द्वारा दिनांक 25 िून, 2026 को उस तारीख के रूप में जनधागठरत करती है
जिस तारीख से उपयुगक्त जविेष आर्थिक िोन को सीमा-िुल्क अजधजनयम 1962 (1962 का 52) की धारा 7 के अंतगगत
अंतिेिीय कंटेनर जडपो माना िाएगा।

New Delhi, the 25th June, 2026
S.O. 3453(E).— Whereas, M/s. Cognizant Technology Solutions India Private Limited, has proposed under
section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a
Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Sy.
No(s). 394/1, 394/2P, 395/1P, 395/2P, 396/P & 397/P at IT-Madhurawada-2, Madhurawada Village, Visakhapatnam
Rural Mandal, Visakhapatnam District, Andhra Pradesh;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of
the said Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of
section 3 of the said Act for development, operation and maintenance of the above Special Economic Zone on 11th
June, 2026;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules,
2006, hereby notifies the 8.9799 hectares area comprising the Survey numbers and the area given below in the table,
namely: -

AND, THEREFORE, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section
13 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), hereby constitutes a Committee to be called the Approval
Committee for the above Special Economic Zone for the purposes of section 14 of the said Act consisting of the
following Chairperson and Members, namely:-
1. Development Commissioner of the Special Economic Zone Chairperson ex
officio;
2. Director or Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Member ex
Industry, Department of Commerce or his nominee not below the rank of Under officio;
Secretary to the Government of India
3. Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade having territorial jurisdiction over the Member ex

6. Director (Banking) in the Ministry of Finance, Banking Division, Government of India Member ex

7. Two officers, not below the rank of Joint Secretary, to be nominated by the State Member ex
Government officio;

AND, THEREFORE, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of
section 53 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), hereby appoints the 25th June, 2026 as the date
from which the above Special Economic Zone shall be deemed to be Inland Container Depot under section 7 of the
Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962).
