Embassy Pune TechZone Pvt. Ltd. (formerly (M/s. Dynasty Developers Private Limited, M/s. Pune-Embassy Project Private Limited and M/s. Embassy Office Parks Pvt. Ltd.), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Plot No. 3, Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjewadi, Phase II, Village Marunji, Taluka Mulshi, District Pune in the State of Maharashtra; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, notified an area of 17.12 hectares and 10.178 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Numbers S.O. 1962(E) dated 19th November, 2007 and S.O. 1751(E) dated 14th May, 2019; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Embassy Pune TechZone Pvt. Ltd. has now proposed for de-notification of 5.1333 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Maharashtra has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No.SEZ-2021/CR-177/Ind-2 dated 10th February, 2023; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, SEEPZ Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 5.1333 hectares of the Special Economic Zone. Further, the proposed de- notifying area shall be utilized 100% for IT/ITES and Commercial activity; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 5.1333 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 22.1647 hectares.
