Publication of notification of extraordinary gazette under Part II section 3 Sub Section (I) Notification under clause 20A of the Railway Act 1989 (24 of 1989) for land to be acquired in connection with Special Railway Project, namel 4th line between GERATPUR (Barejadi Nandej) Sanand (38.20 km) in the state of Gujarat.
This notification, G.S.R. 540(E), issued by the Ministry of Railways, Western Railway Construction Organisation on August 8, 2025, declares the intention to acquire land in the district of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, for the execution of the Special Railway Project: 4th Line between Barejadi-Nandej-Geratpur-Sanand (38.20 km). This action is taken under subsection I of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989.
Interested parties may raise objections to the acquisition and use of the land within thirty days of the notification's publication. Objections must be submitted in writing to the Competent Authority: Additional Special Land Acquisition Officer, First Floor, Disaster Management Building, Collector Office, Near Subhash Bridge Circle, Ahmedabad, and must state the grounds for objection. The Competent Authority will provide an opportunity for a hearing, either in person or through a legal practitioner, before allowing or disallowing the objections. The order made by the Competent Authority under subsection II of section 20D of the said Act shall be final.

उक्त भूजम के कोई जहतबद्ध व्यजक्त, रािपत्र में इस अजधसूििा के प्रकािि की तारीख से तीस कदि के भीतर, उक्त
अजधजियम की धारा 20घ की उप-धारा (1) के अधीि उपयक्तुा प्रयोिि के जलए ऐसी भूजम के अिाि और उपयोग के संबंध म ें
अपिी आपजत प्रकटकर सकेगा;
ऐसी प्रत्येक आपजत सिम प्राजधकारी एव ं अजतररक्त जविेष भजू म अजधग्रहण अजधकारी, प्रथमतल, आपदा प्रबंधि
भवि, महसूल भवि, कलेक्टर ऑकिस, सुभाष जिि सकाल के पास, अहमदाबाद को जलजखत रुप मे ककया िाएगा िो कक
आिेप का आधार होगा। सिम प्राजधकारी आिेपकताा को व्यजक्तगत रुप से या कािुिी प्रेजक्टििर के माध्यम से सुिवाई का

अवसर प्रदाि करेगा और सभी ऐसे आिेपों की सुिवाई और िांि करिे के पश्चात्, यकद आवयक समझे तो, आदेि द्वारा या

उक्त अजधजियम की धारा 20घ की उप-धारा (2)के अधीि सिम प्राजधकारी द्वारा कदया गया आदेि अंजतम होगा।

NOTIFICATION
Mumbai, the 8th August, 2025
G.S.R. 540(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of section 20A of the Railways Act,
1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said act), the Central Government after being satisfied that for the public
purpose, the land, the brief description of which has given in the schedule annexed hereto, is required for execution of
the Special Railway Project, namely, 4TH LINE BETWEEN BAREJADI – NANDEJ (GERATPUR) – SANAND
(38.20 KM) IN THE DISTRICT OF AHMEDABAD in the State of Gujarat, hereby declares its intention to acquired
such land:
Any person interested in the said land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this
Notification in the Official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose
under sub-section(I) of section 20D of the said Act:
Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority, namely, Additional Special Land Acquisition
Officer, First Floor, Disaster Management Building, Collector Office, Near Subhash Bridge Circle, Ahmedabad, in
writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the Competent Authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being
heard, either in person or by legal practitioner and may after hearing all such objections and after making such further
enquiry, if any as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections.
