का.आ. 724(अ).—केंद्रीय सरकार, रेल अजधजियम, 1989 (1989 का 24) (जिसे इसम ें इसके पश्चात ् उक्त
अजधजियम कहा गया ह)ै की धारा 20क के उपखंड(I) के अधीि भारत के रािपत्र, असाधारण भाग II, खण्ड3 , उप-खण्ड
(ii) म ें प्रकाजित भारत सरकार के रेल मंत्रालय (पजश्चम रेलवे जिमााण संगठि) की अजधसूििा सं. 5117 (अ) दििांक
31.10.2022 म ें प्रकाजित भारत सरकार के रेल मंत्रालय (पजश्चम रेलव े जिमााण सगं ठि) की अजधसूििा म ें जवजिर्िष्टा भूजम
को गुिरात राज्य के खेड़ा जिले म े िजडयाि-पेटलाि आमाि पररवताि पररयोििा िाम की जविेष रेल पररयोििा के
जिष्पािि के जलय ेआवयक ह,ै ऐसी भूजम के अिाि करि े के आिय की घोषणा करी थी;
और, उक्त अजधजियम की धारा 20क की उप-धारा (4) के अधीि स्ट्थािीय िैजिक समािार “गिु रात समािार” म ें
दििांक 31.10.2023, और “दिव्य भास्ट्कर” म ें दििांक 03.11.2023 को प्रकाजित दकया गया था; और, सक्षम प्राजधकारी
को दकसी भी व्यजक्त का कोई आक्षेप प्राप्त िहीं हुआ ह ै;
और, सक्षम प्राजधकारी िे उक्त अजधजियम की धारा 20 इ की उप-धरा (1) के अिुसरण म ें अपिी ररपोटा केंद्र
सरकार को सौंप िी ह;ै

अतः अब, केंद्रीय सरकार सक्षम प्राजधकारी की उक्त ररपोट ा प्राप्त होिे पर रेल अजधजियम की धारा 20इ की उप-
धरा (1) द्वारा प्रित्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करिो हुए, यह घोषणा करती ह ै दक इसम े उपाबद्ध अिुसूिी म ें जवजिर्िष्टा भूजम
पूवोक्त प्रयोिि के जलए अर्िात दक िाएगी ;
और, आग,े उक्त अजधजियम की धारा 20ई की उप धारा (2) के अिुसरण म,ें केंद्र सरकार यहां घोषणा करती ह ैकी
आजधकाररक रािपत्र म े इस अजधसूििा के प्रकािि पर इसके साथ संलग्न अिुसूिी म ें जिर्िष्टा भूजम पूरी तरह स े सभी
बाधाओं स े मुक्त होकर केंद्र सरकार हस्ट्तक हो िाएगी ।

NOTIFICATION
Mumbai, the 16th February, 2024
S.O. 724(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway
Board ) (Published in the Gazette of India, under notification No. 5117 of dated 31.10.2022 Extra Ordinary part II
Section-3 Sub-section (II)) (here in after referred to as the said notification) under subsection(I) of section 20A of the
Railway Act 1989 (24 of 1989) & ( Published in the Gazette of india, under notification No.716 of dated 15.02.2023
Extra Ordinary part II Section-3 Sub-section (II) ( here in after referred to as the said notification) under subsection(I)
of section 20A of the Railway Act 1989 (24 of 1989) (here in after referred to as the said Act) the Central Government
declared its intention to be acquired the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for execution,
maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway Project namely, Nadiad-Petlad Gauge Conversion
Project in District Kheda in the State of Gujarat.
And, whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily local newspaper “Gujarat
Samachar”dated 31st October 2023 and “Divya Bhaskar” dated 3rd November 2023 under subsection (4) of
section 20A of the said Act;
And, whereas, no objection has been received by the competent authority.
And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (I) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report of the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central government here by
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto
shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
Sub: Brief description of the land to be acquired with or without structure for the Special Railway Project namely:
Nadiad-Petlad Gauge Conversion Project in District Kheda in the state of Gujarat as per joint measurement sheet
prepares by DILR Kheda-Nadiad.
