NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 25th March, 2026
S.O. 1640(E).— Whereas, M/s. Flextronics Technologies India Private Limited, had proposed under
section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to
set up a Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services
/ Electronic Components & Hardware Manufacturing & Related Services Special Economic Zone at Plot
No.3. Phase-II, SIPCOT Industrial Park, Sandavellore C, Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram, in the State of
Tamil Nadu;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1)
of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, notified the following
areas at above Special Economic Zone as details given below in the table:-

AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Flextronics Technologies India Private Limited has now proposed for de-
notification of 15.42 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has given its approval to the proposal vide
letter No. 871/MIB.1/2025-1 dated 10th November, 2025;
AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, MEPZ Special Economic Zone has
recommended the proposal for decrease in area of 15.42 hectares of the above the Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8)
of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of
section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones
Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 15.42 hectares of the above Special
Economic Zone, thereby making the total area of the Special Economic Zone as 60.72 hectares. The Plot
number and area for the de-notification are given below in the table, namely: -
