Mindspace Business Parks Private Limited (formerly M/s. K. Raheja Corporation Pvt. Ltd. and M/s. Serene Properties Pvt. Ltd.), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at Pocharam Village, Hayathanagar Taluk, Ghatkesar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad in the State of Telangana (erstwhile Andhra Pradesh); AND, whereas, the Central Government, in the exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, notified an area of 26.895 hectares and de-notified area of 14.162 hectares and 7.906 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Numbers S.O. 869 (E) dated 01.06.2007 and S.O. 3106 (E) dated 23.08.2019 and S.O. 4775 (E) dated 16.11.2021, respectively; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Mindspaace Business Parks Private Limited has now proposed to de-notify the entire area of 4.827 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Telangana has given No Objection Certificate to the proposal vide letter No. 1948/IT&C/Prom2/2006 dated 2nd August, 2024. Further, after de-notification, such de-notified area will conform to land use guidelines/master places of the State Government; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of the entire area of 4.827 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, THEREFORE, in the exercise of the powers conferred by the first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except for things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
