का.आ. 2778(अ).— यत:, मै. पांजडचेरी औद्योजगक संवधधन जवकास और जनवेि जनगम (पीआईपीडीआईसी), ने
पुडुचेरी राज्य में करासुर गांव, जवजलयानूर तालुक, पुडुचेरी जिला, म,ें जविेष रूप से बहु क्षेत्र के जलए जविेष आर्थधक िोन
(एसईिेड) की स्ट्थापना हेतु जविेष आर्थधक िोन अजधजनयम, 2005 (2005 का 28), (जिसे एतद्पश्चात् उक्त अजधजनयम
कहा गया ह)ै की धारा 3 के अंतगधत प्रस्ट्ताव दकया है;
और यतः, केन्द्र सरकार इस बात से संतुष्ट है दक उक्त अजधजनयम की धारा 3 की उप धारा (8) के अतंगधत अपेक्षाओं
तथा अन्द्य सबंजधत अपेक्षाओं को पूरा कर जलया गया है और उनको उपयुधक्त जविेष आर्थधक िोन के जवकास, प्रचालन एव ं
रखरखाव हते ू उक्त अजधजनयम की धारा 3 की उपधारा (10) के अतंगधत दिनांक 24 माचध, 2026 को अनुमोिन पत्र प्रिान
कर दिया ह;ै
अतः अब, जविेष आर्थधक िोन अजधजनयम, 2005 की धारा 4 की उप-धारा (1) द्वारा प्रित्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग
करते हुए और जविेष आर्थधक िोन अजधजनयम, 2006 के जनयम 8 अनुसरण में केन्द्र सरकार, एतद्द्वारा उक्त स्ट्थान के
86.2457 हेक्टेयर के नीचे िी गई ताजलका में दिए गए सवेक्षण संख्याओं के क्षेत्रों को अजधसूजचत करती है, अथाधत्ः-

और अतः, जविेष आर्थधक िोन अजधजनयम, 2005 (2005 का 28) की धारा 13 की उप-धारा (1) द्वारा प्रित्त
िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्र सरकार, एतद्द्वारा उक्त अजधजनयम की धारा 14 के प्रयोिनाथध उपयुधक्त जविेष आर्थधक
िोन के जलए एक सजमजत, जिसे अनुमोिन सजमजत कहा िाएगा, गठठत करती ह,ै जिसके अध्यक्ष और सिस्ट्य जनम्नानुसार है,
अथाधत्-
1. जविेष आर्थधक िोन का जवकास आयक्तु अध्यक्ष,पिेन
2. जनिेिक अथवा उप-सजचव,भारत सरकार,वाजणज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्रालय, वाजणज्य जवभाग या सिस्ट्य,पिेन
उसका नाजमती जिसका स्ट्तर अवर सजचव,भारत सरकार से कम नहीं होगा
3. जविेष आर्थधक िोन पर भू-भागीय क्षेत्राजधकार रखन े वाल े क्षेत्रीय संयुक्त जविेि व्यापार सिस्ट्य,पिेन
महाजनिेिक
4. जविेष आर्थधक िोन पर भू-भागीय क्षेत्राजधकार रखने वाले सीमा-िुल्क आयक्तु या केन्द्रीय उत्पाि सिस्ट्य,पिेन
िुल्क आयुक्त अथवा उनका नाजमती जिसका स्ट्तर संयुक्त आयक्तु से कम नहीं होगा
5. जविेष आर्थधक िोन पर भू-भागीय क्षेत्राजधकार रखन े वाल े आयकर आयुक्त अथवा उसका नाजमती सिस्ट्य,पिेन
जिसका स्ट्तर संयुक्त आयक्तु से कम नहीं होगा
6. जनिेिक (बैंककंग),जवत मंत्रालय,बैंककंग प्रभाग,भारत सरकार सिस्ट्य,पिेन
7. राज्य सरकार द्वारा नाजमत दकए िान े वाल े िो अजधकारी जिनका स्ट्तर संयुक्त सजचव से कम नहीं सिस्ट्य,पिेन
होगा
8. िोन के जवकासकताध का प्रजतजनजध जविेष,आंमजत्रती
और यतः, जविेष आर्थधक िोन अजधजनयम 2005 (2005 का 28) की धारा 53 की उप-धारा (2) द्वारा प्रित्त
िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्र सरकार एतद्द्वारा दिनांक 27 मई, 2026 को उस तारीख के रूप में जनधाधठरत करती ह ै
जिस तारीख से उपयुधक्त जविेष आर्थधक िोन को सीमा-िुल्क अजधजनयम 1962 (1962 का 52) की धारा 7 के अंतगधत
अंतिेिीय कंटेनर जडपो माना िाएगा।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th May, 2026
S.O. 2778(E).— Whereas, M/s. Pondicherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment
Corporation (PIPDIC), has proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005),
(hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) exclusively for Multi Sector
SEZ at Karasur village, Villianur Taluk, Puducherry District, Puducherry;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of
section 3 of the said Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval
under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the said Act for development, operation and maintenance of the above
Special Economic Zone on 24th March, 2026;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1)
of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic
Zones Rules, 2006, hereby notifies the 86.2457 hectares area comprising the Survey numbers and the area
given below in the table, namely: -

AND, THEREFORE, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1)
of section 13 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), hereby constitutes a Committee to be
called the Approval Committee for the above Special Economic Zone for the purposes of section 14 of the
said Act consisting of the following Chairperson and Members, namely: -
1. Development Commissioner of the Special Economic Zone Chairperson ex
officio;
2. Director or Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce Member ex officio;
and Industry, Department of Commerce or his nominee not below the rank of
Under Secretary to the Government of India
3. Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade having territorial jurisdiction over Member ex officio;
the Special Economic Zone
4. Commissioner of Customs or Central Excise having territorial jurisdiction over Member ex officio;
the Special Economic Zone or his nominee not below the rank of Joint
Commissioner
5. Commissioner of Income Tax having territorial jurisdiction over the Special Member ex officio;
Economic Zone or his nominee not below the rank of Joint Commissioner
6. Director (Banking) in the Ministry of Finance, Banking Division, Government Member ex officio;
of India
7. Two officers, not below the rank of Joint Secretary, to be nominated by the State Member ex officio;
Government
8. Representative of the Developer of the zone Special invitee
AND, THEREFORE, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section
(2) of section 53 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), hereby appoints the 27th May, 2026
as the date from which the above Special Economic Zone shall be deemed to be Inland Container Depot
under section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962).
