Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines [Survey Officer, Assistant Survey Officer and Senior Technical Assistant (Survey)] Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines [Survey Officer, Assistant Survey Officer and Senior Technical Assistant (Survey)] Recruitment Rules, 2020, in the Schedule, against serial number 1 relating to the post of Survey Officer, in column (11), - (i) under the sub-heading “Promotion”, for the words “three years”, the words “five years” shall be substituted; (ii) after sub-heading “Promotion” and the entries relating thereto and before Note, the following Note shall be inserted, namely: - “Note 1: The eligibility service shall continue to be three years in respect of incumbents holding the feeder post of Assistant Survey Officer in level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44900-142400) on regular basis on the date of notification of the Ministry of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines [Survey Officer, Assistant Survey Officer and Senior Technical Assistant (Survey)] Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.”; (iii) the “Note” shall be numbered as “Note 2”.
