Vikas Telecom Pvt. Ltd., a private organization in the state of Karnataka, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology & Information Technology Enabled Services at Outer Ring Road, Devarabeesanhalli Village, VarthurHobli, Bengaluru East Taulk, Bengaluru in the State of Karnataka;[भाग II—खण् ड 3(ii)] भारत का रािपत्र : असाधारण 3 AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, had notified and de-notified the following areas at above Special Economic Zone as per the details given below:- Sl. Ltd. has now proposed for de-notification of 0.7532 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Karnataka has given its approval to the proposal vide letter no. CI 14 SPI 2024 dated 21st September, 2024. Further, the de-notified land will be utilized towards creation of IT infrastructure (Non SEZ) which would sub-serve the objective of the SEZ and this land will conform to the land use/master plan of the State Government; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 0.7532 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 0.7532 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 21.7468 hectares.
