स्ट्टेट इण्डजस्ट्रयल प्रमोिन कॉपोरेिन, श्रीपेरुम्बिरू तालूक, कांचीपुरम जिले में व्यापार एंव सम्भार तंत्र सबंधी प्रचालनों
सजित इलैक्ट्राजनक िाडचवेयर और सबंजधत सिायक सेवाओं के जलए एक जविेष आर्थचक िोन की स्ट्थापना िते ु जविेष आर्थचक
िोन अजधजनयम, 2005 (2005 का 28), (जिसे एतद्पश्चात् उक्त अजधजनयम किा गया ि)ै की धारा 3 के अंतगचत प्रस्ट्ताव
दकया था;
और यतः, केन्द्र सरकार न,े जविषे आर्थचक िोन जनयमावली, 2006 के जनयम 8 के साथ पठित उक्त अजधजनयम की
धारा 4 की उप-धारा (1) द्वारा प्रित्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करत े हुए, वाजणज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्रालय के रािपत्र सं.
का.आ.1784(अ) दिनांक 18 अक्तूबर, 2007, का.आ.6065(अ) दिनांक 03 दिसम्बर, 2018, का.आ.1879(अ) दिनांक
09 जसतंबर, 2020 तथा का.आ.1913(अ) दिनांक 21 अप्रलै , 2022 के तित ् उपरोक्त जविेष आर्थचक िोन में क्रमिः
140.755 िक्ट्े टेयर के क्षेत्र को अजधसूजचत एवं 7.111 िक्ट्े टेयर, 12.14 िक्ट्े टेयर एंव 1.716 िक्ट्े टेयर के क्षेत्रों को
अनजधसूजचत दकया था;
और यतः, मै. स्ट्टेट इंडस्ट्रीि प्रमोिन कॉपोरेिन ऑफ तजमलनाडु जलजमटेड ने अब उपरोक्त जविेष आर्थचक िोन स े
45.797 िक्ट्े टेयर के क्षेत्र को अनजधसूजचत करन े का प्रस्ट्ताव दकया िै;

और यतः, तजमलनाडु सरकार न े उनके पत्र स.ं 5834108/एमआईबी.1/2023 दिनांक 19 दिसंबर, 2023 के
तित प्रस्ट्ताव को सिमजत िे िी ि।ै ऐसे अनजधसूजचत भूजम पासचल का उपयोग बुजनयािी ढाचं े के जनमाचण के जलए दकया
िाएगा िो मलू रूप स ेपठरकजल्पत एसईिेड के उद्देश्य को पूरा करेगा;
और यतः, जवकास आयुक्त, मेप्ज़ जविेष आर्थचक िोन न े जविेष आर्थचक िोन के 45.797 िक्ट्े टेयर के क्षेत्र को
अनजधसूजचत करने के प्रस्ट्ताव की संस्ट्तुजत की ि;ै
और यतः, केन्द्र सरकार इस बात से संतष्टु ि ैदक अजधजनयम की धारा 3 की उप-धारा (8) के अतं गचत अपक्षे ाओं तथा
अन्द्य सम्बंजधत अपेक्षाओं को पूरा कर जलया गया िै;
अतः अब, जविेष आर्थचक िोन अजधजनयम, 2005 की धारा 4 की उप-धारा (1) के प्रथम परन्द्तुक द्वारा प्रित्त
िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करत े हुए और जविेष आर्थचक िोन अजधजनयम, 2006 के जनयम 8 के अनसु रण म ें केन्द्र सरकार एतद्द्वारा
45.797 िक्ट्े टेयर के क्षेत्र को उक्त जविेष आर्थचक िोन के भाग से अनजधसूजचत करती िै, जिसके पठरमाणतः कुल क्षेत्रफल
73.991 िक्ट्े टेयर िो िाएगा। अनजधसूजचत क्षेत्र के जलए जनम्नजलजखत ताजलका में उल्लेजखत सवेक्षण संख्यायें और क्षत्रे
िाजमल ि,ै अथाचत:् -

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 20th March, 2024
S.O.1509(E).—Whereas, M/s. State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited had proposed
under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set
up a Special Economic Zone for electronic hardware and related support services including trading and logistics
operations at State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Industrial Growth Centre, Sriperumbudur Taluk,
Kancheepuram District, in the State of Tamil Nadu;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section
4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, had notified an area of 140.755 hectares
and subsequently, de-notified three areas of 7.111 hectares, 12.14 hectares and 1.716 at the above Special Economic
Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Numbers S.O. 1784(E) dated 18th October, 2007, S.O.
6065(E) dated 03rd December, 2018, S.O. 1879(E) dated 10th September, 2020 and S.O. 1913(E) dated 21st April,
2022, respectively;
AND, WHEREAS, M/s. State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited has now proposed
for de-notification of 45.797 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has given its approval to the proposal vide letter
No.5834108/MIB.1/2023-1 dated 19th December, 2023. Further, such de-notified land parcel would be utilized
towards creation of infrastructure which would sub-serve the objective of the SEZ as originally envisaged;
AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, MEPZ Special Economic Zone has recommended the
proposal for de-notification of an area of 45.797 hectares of the Special Economic Zone;
NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of
section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4
of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the
Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 45.797 hectares, thereby making resultant area of the Special
Economic Zone as 73.991 hectares. The Survey numbers and the area for the de-notification are given below in the
table, namely: -
