* **Responsible Agency/Bodies:** The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is the primary responsible agency. The designated "competent authorities" (Deputy Collectors, SDMs, Assistant Collectors) will be responsible for executing the land acquisition process.
* **Procedures:** The notification implicitly refers to the procedures outlined in the National Highways Act, 1956. This would involve surveys, valuation of land, offering compensation, and addressing grievances. No specific timelines are stated in the provided text.
**8. Expected Outcomes / Impact of Changes:**
The likely intended outcomes based on the policy's stated provisions in the text are:
* **Efficient Land Acquisition:** Streamlining the land acquisition process by empowering specific authorities.
