और रािमागग मंत्रालय की अजधसूचना संख्या का.आ. S.O. 751 (E) तारीख 12, फ़रवरी, 2026 , िो भारत के रािपत्र,
असाधारण, भाग II, खण्ड 3, उपखंड (ii) म ेंप्रकाजित की गई थी, द्वारा मेघालय राज्य के वेस्ट्ट गारो जहल्स जिल ेम ेंकनेक्टइंग
बाईपास के दक.मी. 0.00 स े दक.मी. 7.410 और दक.मी. 16.620 स े दक.मी. 29.030 (वेस्ट्ट गारो जहल्स) तक के राष्ट्रीय
रािमागग के जनमागण (चौड़ा करने / चार लेन का बनाने आदि), अनुरक्षण, प्रबंधन और प्रचालन के जलए उस अजधसूचना स े

और उक्त अजधसूचना का सार उक्त अजधजनयम की धारा 3क की उपधारा (3) के अधीन तारीख 18/02/2026 को
“ि जिलांग टाइम्स”, 18/02/2026 को “सलेंरटनी िनरे ा” म ें प्रकाजित दकया गया था ;
िबदक सक्षम प्राजधकारी को धारा 3-ग के तहत िायर आपजि प्राप्त हुई ह,ै जिस पर जवचार दकया गया ह ैऔर उसका
उजचत रूप स े जनपटान दकया गया;
और सक्षम प्राजधकारी न े उक्त अजधजनयम की धारा 3घ की उपधारा (1) के अनुसरण म,ें केन्द्रीय सरकार को अपनी
ररपोटग िे िी ह ै;

की उपधारा (1) द्वारा प्रिि िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करते हुए, यह घोषणा करती ह ैदक उक्त अनुसूची म ेंजवजनर्िगष्ट भूजम का पूवोक्त

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 12th May, 2026
S.O. 2421(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport
and Highways, S.O.751 (E) Dated:12/02/2026 , published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3,
Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter
referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)]
annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of
Connecting Bypass in the stretch of land from Km. 0.00 to Km. 7.410 and Km. 16.620 to Km. 29.030 (West Garo
Hills) in the district of West Garo Hills in the state of MEGHALAYA
And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “The Shillong Times” dated
18/02/2026 , “SALANTINI JANERA” dated 18/02/2026 ; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;
And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled
the same appropriately;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest
absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
