NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th September, 2022
S.O. 4271(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport
and Highways number S.O. 1589(E), dated the 04th April, 2022, published in the Gazette of India, extraordinary,
Part-II, Section -3, Sub-section (ii) and issued under sub-section (1) of Section 3A of the National Highways Act,
1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the
land specified in the Schedule annexed to the notification for "Development to 4/6-laning of NH-31 (new NH-10)
with both sides service roads from Km 569.258 to Km 581.030 (end of AH-02 FROM Shivmandir to Sevoke
Army Cantonment) in the district of Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri, West Bengal on EPC mode".
And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in "The Uttarbanga Sambad" dated
28.04.2022, in English daily "The Statesman" on 28.04.2022 and Hindi daily "Janpath Samachar" on 29.04.2022
under sub-section (3) of Section 3A of the said Act.
And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in The Uttarbanga Sambad on
28.04.2022 in English daily The Statesman on 28.04.2022 and Hindi daily Janpath Samachar on 29.04.2022. under
Sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;
And whereas objections have been received and the same have been considered and disallowed by the
competent Authority;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
