NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st January, 2026
S.O. 2529(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 4 of the Tea Act, 1953 (29
of 1953), read with rules 4 and 5 of the Tea Rules, 1954, the Central Government hereby appoints the following persons
as members of the Tea Board, for a period of three years from the date of publication of this notification in the Official
Gazette and makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the erstwhile
Ministry of Commerce and Industry , number S.R.O. 944, dated the 17th day of March, 1954, namely:–
In the said notification, for serial numbers 4, 5 and 10 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial
numbers and the entries shall respectively be substituted, namely: -
“4. Chief Executive Officer, INDCOSERVE, Member representing the Government of the principal tea
Government of Tamilnadu growing States appointed under clause (a) of
sub-rule (1) of rule 4.
5. Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Member representing the Government of the principal tea
Secretary/Secretary (Agriculture), Government of growing States appointed under clause (a) of
Himachal Pradesh. sub-rule (1) of rule 4.
10. Shri. Jairaj Biswakarma. Member representing persons employed in Tea Estates and
Gardens under clause (d) of sub-rule (1) of rule 4.".
