S.O. 4406(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 26 and sub-section (5) of
section 30 of the Coastal Shipping Act, 2025 (20 of 2025), the Central Government hereby designates the principal
officer of the respective Mercantile Marine Departments at Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi and Kandla, as the officer
competent to compound offences and penalties under the provision of the said Act.
