का.आ. 3848(अ).—भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो अजधजनयम, 2016 (2016 का 11) की धारा 17 और धारा 25 की
उप-धारा (3) के साथ पठित धारा 16 की उप-धारा (1) और उप-धारा(2) द्वारा प्रदत्त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द रीय
सरकार का यह मत ह ै दक लोक जहत म ें ऐसा करना आवश्यक ह ै और भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो स े परामि श के पश् चात
जनम्न जलजखत आदेि पाठरत करती ह,ै अथाशत्:—
1. सजं िप्त नाम और प्रारंभ—(1) इस आदेि का संजिप् त नाम जनकल (गुणवत्ता जनयंत्रण) आदिे , 2023 ह।ै
(2) यह आदेि इस अजधसूचना के प्रकािन की तारीख स ेतीन माह की अवजध स ेप्रवृत्त होगा।
2. लाग ू होना—यह आदिे जनम्न जलजखत सारणी के स्ट् तंभ (1) म ें जवजनर्दशष्ट माल या वस्ट् त ु के संबंध म ें लागू होगा,
ककंतु जनयाशत के जनजमत्त माल या वस्ट् तु पर लागू नहीं होगा।
3. मानक जचहन का अजनवाय श उपयोग—उक्त सारणी के स्ट्त ंभ (1) म ें जवजनर्दशष्ट माल या वस्ट् तु स्ट् तंभ (2) म ें
उजल्लजखत तत्स्ट् थ ानी भारतीय मानक के अनरूु प होंगी और उन पर भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो (अनुरूपता जनधाशरण) जवजनयमन,
2018 की अनुसूची-II की स्ट् कीम-1 के अनुसार भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो के लाइसेंस के अधीन मानक जचन्द ह होगा।
4. प्रमाणन और प्रवतनश प्राजधकरण. —भारतीय मानक ब्यरू ो उक्त सारणी के स्ट्त ंभ (1) म ें जवजनर्दशष्ट माल या वस्ट्त ु
के संबंध म ें प्रमाजणत करने एव ंलाग ू करन े वाला प्राजधकरण होगा।

ORDER
New Delhi, the 31st August, 2023
S.O. 3848(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 16 read with section
17 and sub-section (3) of section 25 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central
Government is of the opinion that it is necessary so to do in the public interest and after consulting the Bureau of
Indian Standards, hereby makes the following order, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) This Order may be called the Nickel (Quality Control) Order, 2023.
(2) This Order shall come into force with effect from three months from the date of publication of this
notification.
2. Application.—This Order shall apply in relation to goods or article specified in column (1) of the Table
below, but shall not apply to goods or article meant for export.
3. Compulsory use of Standard Mark.—Goods or article specified in the column (1) of the said Table shall
conform to the corresponding Indian Standard mentioned in the column (2) therein and shall bear the Standard Mark
under a licencefrom the Bureau of Indian Standards in accordance with Scheme-1 of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian
Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
4. Certifying and enforcing authority. —The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing
authority for the goods or article specified in the column (1) of the said Table.
