The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) issued Notification G.S.R. 769(E) in New Delhi on October 21, 2025, to further amend the Railways Red Tariff Rules, 2000.

The original rules were published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide G.S.R. 266, dated 15th July, 2000, and last amended vide notification number G.S.R.719(E) dated 26th September, 2025.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 21st October, 2025
G.S.R. 769(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 67 and Section 87 of the Railways Act,
1989(24 of 1989), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Railways Red Tariff
Rules, 2000 namely-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Railways Red Tariff (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Railways Red Tariff Rules 2000, in the Table II, in column (1), under the sub heading "Liquid Gases",
the item ‘Liquefied Ethane’, may be inserted and correspondingly in column (4), under the sub heading
“Exceptional or Additional packing Rules”, the item ‘T-75 ISO Container’ shall be inserted for
‘Liquefied Ethane’
