On December 11, 2025, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released the 10th edition of its statistical publication, "Handbook of Statistics on Indian States, 2024-25". This handbook disseminates wide-ranging data on the regional economies of India, including sub-national statistics on socio-demographics, health, state domestic product, agriculture, environment, prices, wages, industry, infrastructure, banking, fiscal matters, and exports across Indian states over long time series. The current edition incorporates 11 new tables: 1. State-wise Domestic Tourist Visits, 2. Net State Value Added (Current Prices), 3. Net State Value Added (Constant Prices), 4. State-wise Status of Ground Water Extraction in India, 5. State-wise Revenue Expenditure, 6. State-wise Capital Receipts, 7. Market Borrowings of State Governments, 8. State-wise Gender-wise Subscribers of National Pension System (NPS) All Citizen, 9. State-wise Gender-wise Enrolments under Atal Pension Yojana (APY), 10. State-wise Exports, and 11. RBI releases “Handbook of Statistics on Indian States, 2024-25”
Today, the Reserve Bank of India released the 10th edition of its statistical
publication, “Handbook of Statistics on Indian States, 2024-25”. Through this
publication, the Reserve Bank disseminates wide-ranging data on the regional
economies of India.
This publication provides sub-national statistics, among others, on socio-
demographics, health, state domestic product, agriculture, environment, prices,
wages, industry, infrastructure, banking, fiscal and exports across Indian states over
long time series. In the current edition of the Handbook, in addition to the updation of
the existing data series, the following 11 new tables have been incorporated:
1. State-wise Domestic Tourist Visits
2. Net State Value Added (Current Prices)
3. Net State Value Added (Constant Prices)
4. State-wise Status of Ground Water Extraction in India
5. State-wise Revenue Expenditure
