Regarding demand for revival of closed paper, sugar, jute mills in Bihar and development of Seetamarhi temple SHRI GOPAL JEE THAKUR (DARBHANGA): Hon. Madam Chairperson, I am grateful to the Hon?ble Speaker, Loksabha- Shri Om Birlajee for allowing me to speak in Maithili. Madam on behalf of entire Mithila region I am indebted to him for providing us an opportunity to express our views in Maithili. The language was placed in the Schedule to the Constitution of India during the tenure of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpeyeeji, and under the guidance of experts with the directives of the utmost revered and most populist leader of the nation, Shri Narendra Bhai Modiji facilitation for translation of the Constitution of India into Maithili was completed and published. I am thankful to him for extending this opportunity to the experts-team. along with the Maithils. I am grateful for his esteemed leadership. Madam Chairperson, the Mithila region is witnessing all-round efforts made by the Government for expeditious development works completed and undertaken under the leadership of the PM. The site for consecrating the piece of pious and traditionally important land at Ayodhya was taken up and completed at Ramjanmabhoomi Tirthakshetra, Ayodhya and now people from all around the world throng there for worship and prayer along with annual sacraments. On the same line, Madam, a temple has been constructed at a cost of Rupees 850 crore in Sitamarhi, Bihar for besetting the female deity Goddess Sita, the all-time-adored daughter of Mithila. Madam, the day is celebrated as an epoch-old festival of RANAVAMI-a cult in prevalence throughout the country. I am grateful to the hon?ble Home Minister Shri Amit Bhai Shah for extending support for the sacrament. I am also grateful to the Prime Minister for setting up of Makhana Board; providing GI tagging for Makhana-the fox nut; releasing a postal-stamp of Mithila-Paag; renovation and upgradation of Darbhanga Airport; construction of an IT park, releasing an amount of 11,500 crore rupees for solving the recurring annual flood in the region and an amount of 6,500 crore rupees for raising the height of both the embankments of the Dam on Koshi river. Madam, I would like to raise the issues pertaining the region as well as the state that industrialization has been overlooked during the tenure of preceding governance and the same need expeditious revival throughout the state. All possible support be provided to the state governance for revival of traditional art and craft as well as taking up production at long-closed industrial units producing paper, sugar, and jute products at various parts of thestate along with setting up of Food Processing Parks to stop migration to the other parts of country as well as abroad.
