*hRegarding drug menace near schools & colleges in Goa
CAPTAIN VIRIATO FERNANDES (SOUTH GOA): Hon'ble
Speaker Sir, today I want to speak about our beloved Goa, which is
a gift of God. God has given us fields, plantations, mountains, and
forests. It is a beautiful tourist destination.
Many decades have passed, but now we are in a very difficult
situation. The tourism which we are promoting is focusing more on
casinos. We don?t want our Goa to become Las Vegas, because
our youth are getting trapped in casino culture. That?s why I
request that these laws regarding 39- A, which you have
implemented, our lands are being sold, our people are worried. In
our schools and colleges there are drug peddlers roaming around.
Our member Dr. Amarjeet also mentioned that there are drug
peddlers in Punjab and the same situation is in Goa as well. This a
dangerous threat manage to youth outside schools and colleges. I
request the central government to do an audit and NCB along with
the local police this menace should be stopped once and for all.
Otherwise remove this government.
Thank you Hon?ble Speaker.
