Regarding need for creation of `Sanitation Champion` posts under Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin)-Laid SHRI ANUP SANJAY DHOTRE (AKOLA): I would like to state that under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), important infrastructure such as bell carts for waste collection, waste segregation facilities, and compost pits have been created in Gram Panchayats across the country. However, due to inadequate manpower, many of these facilities are not fully operational, thereby affecting the effectiveness of rural sanitation efforts. In this context, is the Government considering the creation of a ?Sanitation Champion? post ? individuals, often community leaders , recognized for driving significant improvements in hygiene, waste management, and toilet access ? for every 500 people under the Viksit Bharat?Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Scheme and what steps does the Government propose to take to ensure that this initiative not only strengthens the implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) but also generates meaningful employment opportunities in rural areas.
