Regarding need for establishment of a Jawahar Navodaya
Vidyalaya in Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh-Laid
DR. C. M. RAMESH (ANAKAPALLE): With an objective to bring
out the best of rural talent, aptitude and opportunities for progress
at a faster pace, Government of India is establishing
fully-residential Navodaya Vidyalayas in each district in the country
to provide quality education with boarding, lodging, uniforms and
textbooks free of cost. Anakapalli district was created in 2022. With
nearly 740 villages, Anakapalli is largely a rural and semi-urban
district. At present Anakapalli is not provided with a Jawahar
Navodaya Vidyalaya and have been requesting for establishing a
Navodaya Vidyalaya. Students from rural and economically weaker
sections in Anakapalli district are deprived of the opportunity to
access quality residential education under Navodaya Education
System. Hence, I appeal to Honourable Minister of Education to set
up a Navodaya Vidyalaya in Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh.
