Regarding need for establishment of emerging technology-based Skill Development Centres in Bapatla Parliamentary Constituency, Andhra Pradesh to boost employment generation and industrial growth-laid SHRI KRISHNA PRASAD TENNETI (BAPATLA): Andhra Pradesh has emerged as a leading state in India regarding technology adoption and integration. The state has attracted significant data centre investments of more than 25 billion Dollars and set a target of developing a Quantum Valley, positioning itself as a futuristic international hub for advanced technologies. Sustaining this momentum requires a skilled workforce aligned with industry requirements. The Indian government under the Prime Minister has undertaken several initiatives to promote skilling in emerging technologies such as the Skill India Mission (SIM), National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Recently, under PMKVY 4.0 the Government offered more than 400 courses to the Indian youth in artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, and climate-friendly technologies. Additionally, initiatives like AI careers for women have been designed to further reduce the gender gap in our youth in this era of technology. In view of Andhra Pradesh?s technological ambitions, it is urged that the Government consider establishing dedicated centres for skilling in emerging technologies across AP and in Bapatla Parliamentary Constituency so as to enhance employability and support industry growth, thereby ensuring long-term economic competitiveness geared towards achieving Swarna Andhra Pradesh and Viksit Bharat 2047.
