Regarding need for establishment of FM Radio Stations in Latur district, Maharashtra-Laid DR. SHIVAJI BANDAPPA KALGE (LATUR): I would like to draw the attention of the Government towards the urgent need to establish FM radio stations in my Constituency Latur, Maharashtra. FM is an important source of news and its ability to transcend borders makes radio a crucial source of information. Latur is a prominent district in the Marathwada region with a thriving economy. However, the region lacks access to a FM radio station. The establishment of an FM radio station in Latur will provide a reliable platform to ensure the dissemination of crucial Government schemes and world news. Further, Latur is a drought prone area hence, FM stations can serve as a vital tool for real-time communication and disaster management. I urge the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to establish FM radio stations in Latur district to bridge the information gap and cater to the communication needs of its residents.
